Organizationally
Board Member (Board of Directors) (Two unfilled positions)
A Board Member helps guide the overall direction and health of Wandering Folk Society. They are responsible for overseeing the organization's long-term vision, approving key policies and budgets, and ensuring that the Club operates in accordance with its mission, bylaws, and legal obligations. Directors do not manage day-to-day operations or run events directly, but they support the Wardens (officers), help ensure transparency and accountability, and may review high-level concerns such as appeals or formal grievances that escalate to the Board.
Board of Directors selection for the two remaining positions has not opened. If you are interested or have previously applied, you will be kept in the loop for future news. One of these positions may be open to a non-Member. All other positions will be selected from Members only.
Vice President (Club Officer / Warden)
The Vice President serves as a key support to the President and a leader among the Wardens. They help coordinate the work of other officers, assist with internal conflict resolution, and may step in to fulfill presidential duties if the President is unavailable. The VP is often tasked with overseeing structural projects, facilitating board communication, and ensuring that club operations remain consistent with the organization’s goals and policies. In matters of grievance review, the Vice President may serve as a neutral escalation point for concerns involving game leadership or operations. The Vice President may have select areas of oversight which play to their strengths and otherwise is meant to provide support to each Game’s Lead Gamerunner.
The election process for Vice President has not been opened. If you are interested in this position, you will be kept in the loop for the procedure.
Election Committee
The Election Committee is a short-term, neutral body formed to oversee the fair administration of elections for leadership roles within Wandering Folk Society, such as Board Members or Wardens. Its members ensure that nomination, voting, and announcement processes are transparent, secure, and in accordance with the Club’s bylaws and values. The committee does not campaign or run for office during its service and may assist in resolving disputes or clarifying rules related to an election cycle.
This is a new committee which will operate pretty independently and otherwise directly with the Wardens, most closely with the President. The purpose of this committee is to help establish the first process and guidelines for those who run for elected positions and in selecting those positions. This committee will be selected by May 20, 2025. This committee is open to all Members, including Stewards and other crew.
